ROSIE MONTFORD

Inspired by walking and especially by following a route, my work depicts moments of being in landscape through drawing, printmaking and bookmaking. ​

Using a small sketchbook when I am out walking, I find the unfurling pages echo the undulating terrain and the pauses along my path. On my return to the studio, I work fluidly, embellishing the book by adding text, texture and ink. Dismantling the boundaries between distinct art forms, I create prints, large scale drawings and books.​​
